Gather works with you wherever you go. It runs quietly in the background. When you open it later on in the day, your timeline will show nearby people who hangout at the same spots.
HOW GATHER WORKS:

1. Gather shows you interesting people nearby who walked down the same city street, or cafe.
2. If youre interested in connecting with someone, place heart on him! No more swiping excessively. You can easily get rid of the creeps by placing an X on him and the person no longer sees you.
3. If you like someone and they like you back, its a match!
4. Chat with your matches and get to know them safely inside of Gather.
Gather will always be free, but you can send virtual balloons to get someone attention.

Great Update! The app seems to work better as you keep using it.
The app notified me when people started passing by, and I am seeing cool, attractive people in places I usually hangout. I’ve got 3 matches so far.
Also, awesome design & much better concept than Tinder!
The app works fine, the idea is also awesome, but still number of user is very limited.
Some bad moments
Basically it bugs all the Time and you cannot connect with anyone. I dont get it! Even my friends--- one star is a lot for it!!!
I have to request for an account deletion. I dont wish to continue using gather and they never deleted my account on my request.
Got to the Facebook login and it wont stop freezing. So far its junk.
Very confusing app. Is it a dating app? An app to meet new people but as friends? Not sure what the purpose is or what need is it solving. The term "Missed connections" is a little misleading. Romantic missed connections? Professional missed connections?
The Ux is beautiful and I like the Airhead concept but stumped on what I would use this app as. Im happily married so only interested in meeting and making new friends or professional contacts. But not sure what the expectation on the other end would be so staying away from using it.
Giving 1 star just because I cant figure out what to do with this app. Design etc deserves a 4 star
Its a cool idea but not being able to start off a chat until the other party dont "Like" back is a downer. Balloons literally cost more than the actual thing
